Winter's Crown Jewel

The cardinals are wary of humans, so getting a good photo of them is an accomplishment. We have three males and three females in our menagerie. Here are two photos taken today from our kitchen windows.

    Great job (did you open the window?) I have to sit in my kitchen sink with my coat on and window open!

    WOW! this is so lovely...the contrast of the red with the icy weather. Poor little guy...he must be wondering what is going on?
