We Do Not Remember Days, We Remember Moments

Hello scrappy friends! Today I am sharing a layout created for the  CSI Design Team. The subject of the layout is remembering when my Lee became a big brother. He was such a great big brother, and their dad and I couldn't have been happier!

Be sure to pop on over to CSI and see what all the fun is about!

This week, I made a discovery! It wasn't an earth shattering discovery, such as finding a new continent would be. But just the same, It was fun to learn a little more about the products I use. So, here is what I learned.....you can use a color spray to adhere embossing powders to paper before heating them. As you can see here, I allowed some of the splashes of color to drip and others stayed in my creation as little splashes.
I will be using this technique more in the future!

Adding an interesting design using modeling paste and a stencil was a perfect background for the most important part....the photo and embellishments!

Bonnie Blue embossing powder was the perfect color for my layout and for this CSI challenge! The glass beads added more interest too!

My journaling reads, "I remember when everything changed for you, Lee. You were no longer an only child and would have to share Mom's and Dad's attention with your brand new little sister. You would be expected to set a good example for Elizabeth and help to take care of her....in a three year old's understanding of what that means. You began your journey as a big brother cheerfully with lots of hugs and kisses for your little sister and a "can do attitude". What a big boy you were!

  1. Aww sweet memories. So very blessed!! Nice that you add journaling in your own handwriting which puts a bit of you on the LO. Isnt it fun to discover new things? Great job, Texas Star! :)
