FUN IN THE SUN MINI ALBUM

Can you feel the Summer heat coming from this little mini album, created as a design team project for THE CRAFTY SCRAPPER? All pages were hand stitched, then adhered to the MAYA ROAD Landscape Binder. 

Some machine stitching, and painting can be seen on the cover. For the little MAYA ROAD Canvas portion of the title, I used the Jonathan Mini Alphabet Chipboard Set as a mask and sprayed it with RANGER/TIM HOLTZ Adirondack Color Wash Spray, then later came in with yellow Stickles to fill in the negative space with some sparkle. 

Paper used is the Sketchbook Collection by AMERICAN CRAFTS.

Dear Lizzy Crepe Ruffle Paper by AMERICAN CRAFTS is used throughout the mini album for a fun look. It is easy to use, as it is already pleated.

Each page was masked, using a hand cut piece of chipboard, then sprayed with Radiant Rain. For additional texture, and to add some love, I hand stitched the waves on each page. Don't the  SPELLBINDERS frames make the pictures pop?

Stone-Art by VIVA is easy to use. Just apply the sand paste, add shells and net. Allow to dry for a few hours. The gold specks in "Sand Gold" sparkle as if kissed by the sun!

What a treat it was to do this design team project for THE CRAFTY SCRAPPER in Waxahachie, Texas! This layout was created using the lovely "Miss Caroline" collection paper by Jen Allyson. I love the vintage feel of the papers! Techniques used were distressing, painting, paper folding, stitching and  border punching.

The photo is of my sweet Mother in Law and was taken sometime during the 1940's.

This is a layout that I did of a photograph that was taken of my daughter in 1993, when she was nine.   

Liz is a ray of sunshine, so this PRIMA collection, called "Sun Kissed" seemed perfect here.

STEAMPUNK NOTEPAD AND PEN HOLDER

This is a little notepad and pen holder created in a steampunk style. I have to give credit to my freind, DEE DEE ROE, for putting my name on this little project for THE CRAFTY SCRAPPER design team. Awesome choice, Dee Dee!!! 

In my sack of goodies was this little Wendy Vecchi Art Parts kit called, "Cake Stand". It is most likely intended to be a cupcake stand, but I had to come up with something other than what the photo on the packaging shows.

HAPPY ARE THEY WHO TRAVEL

This is a layout that I created to remember a short getaway my husband and I took recently to one of our favorite cities in the United States. We are very fortunate to live within a few hours of San Antonio, Texas and never tire of returning! 

This layout was created for THE CRAFTY SCRAPPER in Waxahachie, Texas.....my favorite scrapbook store. Check it out in the store, where it is currently on display. Techniques used include distressing, inking, diecutting, hand stitching and paper curling.

SING YOUR OWN SONG

This is a creation for THE CRAFTY SCRAPPER DESIGN TEAM in Waxahachie, Texas. The photo is of my daughter, Elizabeth, who sings like a bird. 

Techniques used in this layout  were inspired by the flow of music, and curling paper seemed the perfect way to express this.  Also flowing are the SCRAP FX chipboard and the MAYA ROAD zipper flower.  

Other Techniques used were border punching, inking, hand stitching and machine stitching.
