Fun!

Hi Everyone! It's been a busy week here. I have been working on this layout for the CSI Design Team and enjoying America's Independence Day with my family.
Try to come over and play along with us for this fun case file. It's fun and to me, it is just like solving a mystery, only with paper and glue!

Using corrugated cardboard is always perfect for a masculine page and
as a way to to add texture and line to a layout. I misted it with several colors to achieve a taupe color, then glued on the little glass beads.

Here is how I solved the case:

Scheme: All five colors
Evidence: stripes, leaves, frames
Testimony: Fourth of July Writing Prompt #49:
"How do you celebrate The Fourth of July?"

Products:

Blue Fern Studios
     Tranquility, Calm paper
Postage Frames, Crazy, Silly, Fun, Lattice Bits
          chipboard
     Imagine Ink Embossing Powders:
Snow, Golden Brick, In the Navy
     Attic Charm Daisies
     Courtship Roses Forever stamp
Liquitex modeling paste
The Creative Workshop stencilFrom my stash: glass beads, corrugated cardboard
The journaling reads, "Allie and Lee celebrated The Fourth of July by getting away from the Texas Heat. They had a wonderful time hiking, seeing a spectacular balloon mass ascension and spending time together. What a treat it was to have a few days off from work and to reflect on the blessings we share in the U.S.A.!"

Thanks for taking a peek!
