Grateful for You

Fall is officially here in the U.S. and I decided to make a photo of our daughter the centerpiece for this layout at CSI Color, Stories, Inspiration. Our family get-together for Thanksgiving was held at my sister in law's home in Dallas.
Here is how I solved the case file:

Scheme: all five colors used
Evidence: grid pattern, numbers, flowers, leaves,
      tape measure, scallops
Testimony: I used a prompt from Can Teach. "What would you do to entertain your family without spending any money?

Here, you can see a close up of the gorgeous Blue Fern Studios paper, flower, chipboard and a stamp.

Don't you just love the embossing? Think Ink Embossing Powders by Blue Fern Studios have so many gorgeous colors to choose from. I embossed the title, "Grateful for You", with a bit of a bubbly looking finish.

I always do some 3-D work on my layouts.
I can't help myself....the Blue Fern Studio Paper is so gorgeous, that it begs to be noticed, so I pop it up in hopes it will be seen before everything else!

The Journaling reads, "Elizabeth always has been the life of the party. A perfect example would be last year at our Thanksgiving celebration. Liz borrowed a turkey costume and made a salad. Everyone was entertained! She makes us laugh whenever we are together, and it doesn't cost a her a penny. I am so grateful for her!

  2. Hi Patty,
Dropping in to comment on your beautiful page. Once again the detailing is top notch. I love the fussy cutting of the flowers. The 3D effect they create is really noticeable in the top corner. Your signature embossing looks so pretty, especially in those autumn colours. Gorgeous work, as always. ♥
