Blow Out The Candles

Happy New Year, everyone! I'm starting 2017 off with a layout for the CSI Design Team.
Over at CSI we are celebrating five years of happy scrapping! How lucky I am to be on the wonderful CSI Design Team!

Here is how I solved the case:

Scene: All five colors used
Evidence: Tiny dots, grid, circles, string, leaves,
      puffy sticker
Testimony: Document a birthday (the occasion
was my daughter's most recent birthday),
      mix stickers and handwriting

You can see the embossing, painting, and texturizing I used here.

A little dimension makes the layout pop!

Products:

Blue Fern Studios paper (Blush, Charmed and
       Reminisce), embossing powder (Fuchsia,
Lime, Golden Seas), chipboard pieces (Blow
Out the Candles, Candlestick) and stamp
       (Coarse Fabrics)
Crafter's Workshop stencils
Liquitex modeling paste

May Arts ribbon
Momenta wooden corners
Prima flowers, sticker, crystals and Color Bloom          Spray
Pro Art gesso
Ranger Embossing Dabber
From my stash: thread

The journaling reads, "We had so much fun being together for Liz's birthday and getting to meet her friend, Stephen. There was a lot of laughter and funny story telling as we enjoyed our dinner, then we gave Liz her presents. For the grand finale, we ordered a beautiful and creative chocolate pinata for dessert. It was fun to watch Liz break open the pinata and see all the delicious fresh fruit come falling out for all to share. Mom even got a photo or two and everyone had a smile on their face! Dad and I love it when Liz has a birthday....one more delightful memory to cherish."

Thanks to everyone who leaves a comment!

  1. Happy New Year to you as well, Patty ☺.

As usual, your layout is so pretty. I love how the flowery border frames your page. The embossing work is so well done. Love the "Moments Together" in white. The bits of thread, and checkered ribbon, add texture and whimsy. Your scrapbooking style shines here again. TFS ♥

    1. Dear Jacynthe, thank you for the kind words. I can always count on having to buy my hats a larger size when I see you've paid a visit, sweet lady. That's not a complaint....just a fact. You have your own special brand of sunshine and sprinkle it all around, and your friends love you for that! Big hugs to you!

  2. Love your cheerful layout and story behind it, Patty! One question...what did you use to get those different colors on those chippies with the blue embossing powder?
