Lovely

Hello friends! Today I'm sharing a layout I created for the CSI Design Team. When I first saw the colors, Christmas came to mind, so I searched for papers that would work. Of course, Blue Fern Studios came through with the perfect papers, chipboard pieces, embossing powders, stamps and flowers! I found a great picture from Christmas Day, 2016 of Elizabeth and her sweetheart.

Here is how I solved Case File 232:

Scheme: Used all five colors
Evidence: Animals, foliage, fringe
Testimony: I chose a prompt from Cary On
Tuesday which reads, "A song is but a little
thing, and yet what a joy it is to sing."

For this layout, I did some paper tearing , stamping, heat embossing, 3-D work and painting.

Here, you can see how dimension adds such a "pop" to a layout. It simply creates more interest that must be viewed and enjoyed!

Another technique I used here is paper tearing and paper rolling.

The Journaling reads, "A song is but a little thing and yet what a joy it is to sing. Elizabeth first started singing in earnest as an eight year old, choosing to sing and act in Casa Manana's  Babes in Toyland. Liz later had parts in Fort Worth's Casa Manana Production of The Wizard of Oz. In eighth grade, she had a major role in Li'l Abner. In high school, she had parts in two musicals, Fiddler on the Roof and Oklahoma. She traveled with her high school choir to Italy and performed in Venice at Basilica San Marco, in Florence at San Jacopo Concert Hall and in Rome at St. Peter's Basilica and Trinity Church.

As an adult, Elizabeth still loves to sing, and was asked to be part of a Christmas choir group. They sang Vivaldi's Gloria. It comes as no surprise that her sweetheart, Stephen, is also musically talented. He plays the guitar and sings in a band for his own enjoyment."

Thanks for stopping by and especially for leaving a message!
