Honoring My Husband, Hack

Hello scrapbook friends! Today, I'm sharing a layout that I created for the CSI Design Team to honor my wonderful husband. Wednesday, April 19th is Husband Appreciation Day, and I want him to know how much I appreciate him.
I am very blessed to have been married to him for forty two years and look forward to many years.

Speaking of Color Stories Inspiration, I would like to tell everyone who participated in the challenges over at CSI that there is currently a design team call. You can check it out here

Now, back to the layout....

Here is how I solved Case File 228:

Honey,

Please know that from the bottom of my heart, I appreciate all that you do for our family and for us as a couple. You "have my back" always and have put me on a pedestal. I am grateful for you!

                                         Patty"

  4. Beautiful, romantic page to show your love for your husband. Your signature style is all over this layout. I love all the attention to detail, as usual. I'm still trying to figure out those little beads. How do you place them on the page, and how do you colour them? They add a lot of interest to the layout. Love those fabric flowers and the chipboard pieces. Sweet photo of the two of you. TFS ♥

  5. HI Jacynthe!

First of all, thank you for this very kind comment on this layout. Secondly, I owe you the biggest apology. You commented on the video I created for Blue Fern Studios a few weeks back. I am so sorry I couldn't respond to you at that time. (It was a big secret until it was made public over at BFS.) Please forgive me for that.

The little beads are called Prima Art Stones and Prima Mini Art Stones. I color them with any spray (Tattered Angels, Prima, etc. The way I do it is by using a small plastic "Dixie Cup" or other throw away cup. Pour the stones into the container, then spritz them with the spray. I stir the stones up until they are all colored. Let the stones dry for a day or so. Prima 3-D Matte Gel (or similar) will adhere them to the paper. First, I apply the gel to the paper with a brush, then I sprinkle the little "stones" in the same place. You will need to wash your brush with warm water right away, as the matte gel dries very fast. I hope you won't let all these steps deter you from creating something wonderful, Honeybee.

Thanks again, Jacynthe, for your patience and your sweet, thoughtful comments on all of my work.

    Big Hugs,
    Patty

    1. Thank you for the explanation, Patty. I'd like to try some of these new (to me) techniques but never know quite how to go about it. Now I have a starting point. ☺
